The goofy looking drawing is the first one I have of the drawing Apollo. This particular drawing is from February 1st, 2015. I was drawing on a Kindle Fire back then on an app called Autodesk Sketchbook. This is not sponsored by the way, I just really like the app.
I took the middle piece out of it at one point and called it an ancient totem pole. I do this a lot with the drawings from Apollo because there is so many things going on in the inside of it. You probably did notice that part of the middle is missing if you compare the two images. I guess I did not like the white part enough to include it into the totem pole.
As time went on I decided I did not like most of what I had in the above picture. I erased a lot of it and started those parts over. Skipping over a few drawings that I have, this drawing is from May 23rd, 2016. I erased the old totem pole and put in something that matches the design a lot better. I also got rid of the goofy looking eyes. I did also make a totem pole out of this design as well. I want to say that I created this using the mirror effect. If I did not use this effect, this drawing would have taken even longer then it already did.
One more thing you may be interested about is how I got the name for the drawing. Basically, I am really bad at coming up with names so I slammed my fingers against the keyboard about 15 times, erasing each time because I did not like the way the words fell and something that looked like Apollo showed up the last time and I said to myself that is a good name because this creature that is in it looks like it is from space.
That’s all I am going to share for now about Apollo. One day I will finish it but that may not be for a few more years however considering it has taken me to get as far as I have. Over the course of time, I will post more pictures of its work in progress and maybe even the pictures I skipped over in this segment.
One more thing before I wrap up, I have decided that blogging on Monday and Friday is too much for me because I have writers block a lot and need time to come up with more ideas to write about. Therefore, I am going to only be posting on Mondays at 3:30 pm. Thank you for your understanding. Let me know what you thought below and see you next Monday!
